Regrade requests

Raised, reviewed, and resolved in one place. No email archaeology.

Students raise regrade requests inside InteGrade, attached to the specific question they are disputing, and you handle them in one queue instead of an inbox.

How students request

When grades are released, a student can open a regrade request on a question, with a written justification. The request carries the full context automatically: the question, their work, the applied rubric items, the score.

Reviewing requests

Your regrade queue lists open requests across the assignment. Opening one drops you into the grading view for exactly that question and submission, with the student's justification alongside.

To resolve:

  1. Re-examine the work with the student's argument in mind.
  2. Adjust rubric items if they have a point, or leave grading as is if they do not.
  3. Write a response and resolve. The student sees your response and any score change.

Tips

  • Resolve requests through the queue even when the answer is no. A documented "reviewed, here is why the deduction stands" closes the loop in a way silence never does.
  • If a request reveals a rubric item was applied inconsistently across the class, fix the item once; scores recompute everywhere it was applied.
